Sounds reasonable enough, Hal... it obviously isn't a DMF... did you tell him you're a taximan, without mentioning that you drive a Prius!

He knows i'm a taximan...and drive a Prius....he changed the perished rubber injector hoses on my Citroen aswell,i wasn't comfortable doing them....he's an east euro chap....actually has an old Citroen Traction Avant in pieces in his warehouse.

Don't know if that's a reply to me but it's a garage practically beside me,run and owned by Vigis.

You can rely on VAG clutches to go, alright... Most expensive repair on my MKII Octavia @ €600 and put two of 'em in the Triggers's Brush (MKI).

Cheap is debatable but I guess it was a fair price, Stuart does look after his taximan clients. It did include the flywheel, you'd be mad to change one without the other IMO. I priced the parts online at the time and I think they were a little over 4 ton. Mrs. Catcher's non-DMF clutch was a little over 3 ton and the old MKI Octy (with DMF) which Stuart done twice was closer to 7 ton if memory serves, can't be precise as I don't have the service record for that motor on this computer.
