To be fair to Ivor he supported the trade up to and during entry liberalisation.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

If you go looking for work you will find it.
The ones sitting on the ranks do the most moaning.
I'd rather drive for an hour and get a €7 fare then sit on the rank and get same.
He who fears he will suffer, already suffers because he fears.

Dooblin and Cork must be very different DM, my working hours are usually sometime between 8pm and 6am.
From 8pm to midnight every rank is full and there is very little street flag-downs available.
From midnight till 3.30am there is plenty of street work.
And then from 3.30am on the streets are bare again, you would be lucky to pick up a job an hour.

But the App hops constantly in the quiet hours, even more so if'n you are Ambassador.
The stickers don't worry me, the 12% don't worry me, fer me Wheels turning and Meter moving is all important !

I work the northside suburbs of Dublin. It's very rare to find a hand in the air these days, the vast majority are using mytaxi.

I'm very surprised at the lack of significant proactivity on the part of the traditional despatchers. I's going away from them more quickly since November last.
Trump has called for help, so I'm on a plane heading for The Strait of Hormuz, talk soon.

At least 5 in my area of South Dublin, all subsumed to entities that are also diminishing in size. The ones renting vehicl/radio packages may surive the longest.

Read a trade union report that says after USC increase in rents and household tax even with an increase in  minimum wages .workers have 11% less disposable income today than they had in 2007 .They also predict up to 40,000 nett job losses after brexit with more bankers and insurance jobs plus more hotel jobs but huge losses in manufacture ,agri food and horse breading .They say a hard Brexit will cut our GDP by upto 5% but our GNP will increase and our tax take will increase from British companies who have transfered their assetts over here .Until the Brits do a deal and go back home leaving a big black hole in our tax take .

I'm the same, I mostly work the Southern suburbs of Cork and very rarely see a hand in the air but the App keeps me busy most of the time. Waiting on a rank is not fer me.

The last recession will feel like a picnic compared to this one....
There'll be blokes in new taxis who boasted about their earnings queing up on howth head crying for their Mammies and
Blokes with ropes testing the theory of gravity in their attic laboratory
