I had neither a spare nor a inflation device, puncture repair kit. Don't know how it would fail for something like that. NCT was two weeks ago and didn't fail.

Surprised you didn't fail the NCT tbh...although the missuss car passed it's NCT in Jan,she had been hearing a noise before the test,i said put it through and let them find out what it is....but they didn't...so i brought it to a friends workshop on Fri morning to have a look....he asked me when is it due it's NCT....oh how we laughed.....two rear trailing arm bushes are well gone, one of the rear shocks leaking like a sieve, rear exhaust bracket that's welded to the exhaust itself broken, front exhaust mount(supposed to be welded to the CAT section..broken....parts are cheap but the rear bushes are a bitch to replace.

I bet you're sorry you put a clutch in her now... woulda been better advised to put a match to it.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

Give her your password and she can go on line and learn how to change them .Her motor had a prang Insurance came out had a look and came up with a list of repairs but havent sorted it yet as they are contesting the evidence of our kid and the witnesses and the Garda but anyhoo they told her to get it fixed and they might pay out I got 6 euro worth of epoxy two pack resin a few sets of vice grips and 14 euro worth of paint .passed with flying colours .Only paid 400 for 06 Polo last year passed every test .

Most modern ones.  It's one way to 'cheat'/lower the fuel efficiency figures by having a lighter car.  Every gram counts!

Had one - we all got one as a present... the one that comes in a spray can, I assume that would suffice?

Ye ken and korky gave us great presents.... Kens torch is a gift and the puncture repair kit.... Thanks lads.....

those poor NCT fellas must listen to ten times the bollocks we do.
I did the NCT around a month ago and the fella I was talking to looked bunched in the head.
when I was driving out I was expecting him to throw himself under the car.

How can you drive without a spare ?
I used to have the Space saver yoke but Fooked it out and bought a second-hand full size spare wheel and tyre fer about Fifty notes.
