Lost 62 yoyo over the 4 days .No bet today
Brother of mine who is a rather large gambler fave me a bit of advice on Cheltenham a few years back.

All horses are in tip top shape , all trying , best off staying clear of this meeting, lost a couple of quid this week but by and large I usually don't back at Cheltenham meet.

Like to think I know more about Footie than horse's anyway.

Its not a meeting I like to much scamming .When bookies are paying 150K+ for a pitch for 4 days you know who is winning .Cheltenham and Galway could compete with Anglo or NAMA for stroking .

Cheltenham Tote Placepot, Day 4.

1/30. 3, 4, 5, 9, 12.
2/10. 2, 5, 7, 19, 21.
2/50. 1, 3, 4, 6, 12, 13, 16.
3/30. 4, 5, 9, 10, 11, 13.
4/10. 4, 6, 11, 15, 20, 24.
4/50. 3, 5, 8, 14, 18, 19.

5x5x7x6x6x6 = 37,800 lines @ .001323 cent per line is 50.00 stake.

32 winning lines @ .001323 = .042336 cent worth of the 11,701.20 placepot = 495.38 return.
Less the 50 stake and the other 30 lost yesterday plus the 104.11 lost on first Two days I'm up 311.27 fer the 4 days.

Anyone beat Ken? If he won it's probably my fault for framing the rules in such a way that he could manipulate the mathematics rather than tip horses. LL clearly gave the best tips by a long way!

Well with 4 days of racing and 7 races a day, if I was to bet on all the races I’d have put a tender on each race so I’m up €280. Ken still wins.

If you just done a tenner a race you woulda been up €19.89 (at SP, more if you took the guaranteed prices) with very little outlay if you followed my selections. As it happens you broke even by not backing anything. Ken's win is more down to manipulation of the mathematical flaws in the competition rules. In the real world the minimum unit stake on a placepot is 10p so 37,800 lines is beyond the reach of most punters.

^ not sure how you would have done following LLs tips... if he (or someone else) doesn't add it up in the meantime I'll do it tomorrow or Monday. Not the first time he's come good at Cheltenham though... for me, as a punter, Cheltenham was always a losing affair until a few years back when I followed LLs selections and made a few quid. If memory serves, MMW has had a good year or two as well but he didn't participate in our competition this year.

I’d look at what the experts were saying and probably back the 2nd most common horse and do it each way so I probably would have won something. But would still be down money.

The Erm must have lost the house, haven’t heard from him

No, not worth adding up. I can't match 3 ton plus winnings but my bets were all 5ers except for the Pasley Park one which I won almost 300 on.....all told, in the real world, I was up less than 120 Euro...end of story. The virtual one here is irrelevant, in reality. You've some memory Rats,,,,,,,,,,,,,Carlito Brigante, c/o Mick Ryanair.............his other jockey threw himself off at the 3rd last, I think.........won at 22/1........Think Mouse Morris trained another that yr too...can't recall its name.........that tip came from a fellow who was a chiropractor in Dublin I was attending........he turned to drink I heard.

Coral Cup 2011 (had to look it up).

Your right Stephen I did manipulate the forum rules a tad, unwittingly at first, but when I saw the stake flaw in the rules, I did exaggerate it to the hilt.  oops

Still my last day bet shows the true value of the placepot if you are willing to invest big money. If I had done that bet fer the minimum Tote requirement of .10c per line then the stake would have been 3780. Euro and the return would have been 36,120.98 !

Had a good first 3 days and blew nearly it all on the last day, main bets on the Friday were Sir Erek (broke leg) and Kemboy (fell at the first).
