Fluence is probably good for 200k, Octy maybe twice that.

The 1.5 engine in my laguna has only 350000 odd on her and still purring like a kitten

John if Vandrivers MPG figures are accurate you'd be almost as well getting a petrol. Most petrol yokes would get at least 30mpg.

Ihave an 11year old occy 334000 on it I dont do big milage not a lot af day work so congestion not really an issue nor is fuel econ .If I could get a 7 year old petrol for 3K I would go with it .Might ring around the trade .With the eco mentalists running around digging the grave of humanity you couldnt really invest in anything other than Ev and Im 57 I dont know if i will outlive a new motor .Fucked up last November 2013 diesel avensis for 4K  190 .000 on the clock should of went for it but hesitated and Dommos youngfella unloaded it .

I couldn't recommend the laguna highly enough, most probably the most comfortable and reliable car I've ever had.

Why is that laguna 10 grand?Probably wasn't that price when it left the factory..You'd barely get 3 years out of it.

@dalymount, there's nothing wrong with the 2016 diesels onwards euro emissions 6. thats old diesels, the media , tree huggers and snowflakes are throwing all diesel cars into the same pot cause they wouldn't know one end of a car to the other, I had this fella in the cab the other day he was going to collect his car from the garage, he was yapping on about evs and ya don't need to service them and all that lark, I was saying to me self, god help ya you ignorant sod ya haven't a clue, the subject of how many miles or kms was on it, he hadn't a clue. Were going to see a lot of stranded ev cars on the road if thats the mentally of drivers that will have them.

NCT'd my 4 year old E220 (184,000 km) last week, zero smoke.
Trump has called for help, so I'm on a plane heading for The Strait of Hormuz, talk soon.

My oh 16 was zero when it was NCT'd too... first time I've seen a smoke reading of 0.00... but VAG know how to get through them tests, I guess.

You'd want to be completely erm to hand over 10 large for an oh 12 Reno... you'd easily get a 16 for that money. Another point on the Laguna... look where the "key" slots in... far too easy for a traveller to snatch.

If you fancy a 16 Auto Octy you could have a look at this one:
https://www.carnext.com/en-ie/cars/skoda/octavia/488z0-dj2f-js04/
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.
