This gets weirder Im out drinking porter and Gyles thats her name is doing his Shirley Bassey routine and I walk into the joint see her/him and get a gargle and tell the barman to give Shirley a gargle just to make up .So the barman gives her a Rum and Coke and Shirley looks at me and says for my friend John .I want to sing this and bursts into Hey big spender mymissus is giving me some amount of abuse so I say to her you have fuck all to worry about ,if he had of sand gold finger then you had a problem .

Bring me back some smokes if you can, erm... obviously I'll fix you up for them.

Common enough jobs for hackneys back in the good old days. We had a couple of regulars who ordered bottles of whiskey and such like when I worked for C2K.

Was it a Card or Cash job ?
Either way I would have taken it in and made a nice job out of it ?
