I dont think it was the type of speech anyone should have been looking for inspiration from, but I suppose he delivered it with honesty, which is all we could have expected.im not afraid of covid 19,and I have more reason then most of you to be afraid,I think you just need to do what the HSE ,and doctors etc ask and try not to worry.there is a great saying I often THIS TO SHALL PASS

maybe he was saving his inspirational speech for a few weeks down the line. also that speech could have been for any country, very generic.

you are right not to be afraid o the virus, thats the problem with the people you see who are in serious panic, a lot think just because they are over 60 that if they get the virus they are dead. i think some people are just looking for attention to be honest, wearing masks 24/7, put the pics up on facebook for their friends to see.

I suppose you are right. some people are just worriers and others arent. I was disappointed with a guy i met yesterday, a young guy around 25, he had his whole family wearing masks and worrying them about this when in my opinion there was no need for it. two weeks ago he told me he didnt give a $hit about covid-19.

No mention of taxis or social distancing in them either >:(

Public transport passenger numbers fall by up to 75% due to Covid-19

Quote
Passenger numbers on public transport have fallen by up to 30% because of the Covid-19 crisis according to the National Transport Authority (NTA).

However, the NTA intends to maintain "the vast majority of services" provided by Iarnród Éireann, Dublin Bus, Bus Éireann, Go Ahead Ireland, Luas and Local Link.

The drop-off has been recorded in preliminary figures compiled by the NTA comparing current usage to equivalent levels in 2019.

It found that daily numbers are down across all types of transport with the reduction ranging from 70% to 75%.

However, it is believed that the NTA and health authorities want to keep services at existing levels as the fewer numbers using public transport will allow greater levels of social distancing.
