What about factoring in some Holidays ?

Someone typing sense. Most of us haven't worked since March... no way we can jump back in and do two or three weeks in a row with no holidays.

In my mind as you make annual returns ,do the numbers in early Dec and do the sums, include the PUP little to worry about --unless you're an Ambassador !

Assuming your financial year ends on 31st Dec. Older drivers may well (still) have April year ends as the tax year used to run to April. In that case, without going into too much extrapolative detail, you probably want to change it from 2019 NOT 2020.

Have you calculated it as an hourly rate then added in the changing of the clock? Its not as simple as you make it out to be .

from mygov.ie

You can earn up to €480 gross through self-employment over a four-week period and retain your full COVID-19 Pandemic Unemployment Payment

You can read that any way you like ....but it does not make any reference to €480 per Calender month as jonno already mentioned.

They're included in the 480 as all  expenses/layouts etc have always been. It's no different than any other given year, except that under the current circumstances  roughly 25% of your earning potential has a ceiling and the other 75% is covid donations.
Say across the first four weeks you pocket exactly 480. If this plague were to run on for a full year and Leo (not Meehawl) kept the status quo for the self employed cos he's great so he is (ie he let us keep earning the 480), that means your total annual earnings are as follows, including the covid coin:

(13x480)+(52x350)= €24,440 gross profit to be declared and processed for Pathcal O'Donoghue. He'th great ath well, tho he ith.

480 in a given 4 weeks plus 350 x 4 is your max. gross allowable earnings in the covid world. Deductions come after that, including insurance and every other outgoing you have.

All the things that the two recent protests were about, abandonment of TAC,weekly allowance for drivers, buy back scheme etc etc are they even been considered by government,or are they just dismissed as usual ?

Yes, but I imagine that it would be the insurance over the 12 months,i.e. if it's €320pm for 10 months, then €320 x 10 divided by 12 plus any deposit.

For Fuck Sake Dalymount when the fuck are you going to Cop the Fuck on .The Dep of Transport make policy and a gang of Fucking idiots marching up to the top of the hill and marching down again wont change anything ..The Minister appoints people to the TAC to rubber stamp what the Department want .Why would taxi drivers get special treatment if you cant work you get the same as everybody else based on your previous earnings .BUY BACK what a taxi licence is,is only a licence to renew a taxi licence for another year it has No financial worth .The High Court Judge actually said A Taxi licence is not a licence to work as there is no imperative on the owner of a Taxi licence to work that Licence .Same with the bolloxology of calling for no more licences to be issued .The Supreme Court has upheld that the Minister cannot restrict the issue of licences only the Vehicles that Qualify for licencing .Thats why there are age and size standards for Vehicles .Asking for an extension in the vehicle age just makes sure there are plenty of vehicles available for owner Drivers or renters to work and that suits the NTA .So think about what we got 2.48 a week for Saloon Car drivers and 1.23 a week for WAT drivers by means of free licence renewal or 4.83 euro a week subsidy if you want to replate your lapsed plate .The Cry was there are to many taxies the result was the NTA subsidised us so there would still be to many taxies .Really Dalymount you got to stop deluding yourself that taxi driving is some sort of vocation it is the exact same as a Courier only less skillfull as a cardboard box cant help you with directions .
