The new leader of the DUP has said relationships with the Irish Government are "really, really bad" and claimed ut would "starve" the people of Northern Ireland of medicines and the food on their table.

Edwin Poots was speaking last night after he was formally ratified as leader following a lengthy meeting of the party's executive council.

He said that contact will be made with the Irish Government after he takes over from Arlene Foster tomorrow.

However, Mr Poots said that he respects Taoiseach Micheál Martin, but took aim at the Tánaiste Leo Varadkar, Minister for Foreign Affairs Simon Coveney and the Northern Ireland Protocol.

He said they "took photographs of blown up border posts to impose upon Northern Ireland people a harshest form of customs, and an internal market that doesn’t exist anywhere else in the world".

"They’re going to starve Northern Ireland people of medicines, no less, cancer drugs and other materials such as the food that’s on our table.

"And I’d say that’s a shame on the Irish Government that they done that. And that belongs to Fine Gael under the leadership of Leo Varadkar and Simon Coveney. So relationships are really, really bad with the Irish Government as a consequence," he said.

In fact, I remember you taking to the internet during Dr. Leo's tenure to tell us all how irresponsible it would be to work, back when there was plenty of ICU availability... and then coming back after the puppy dole cuts to report that you had been out hunting for victims despite a state of absolute crisis in our hospitals with no ICU availability from Donegal to Cork.

There's no doubt that we owe a debt of gratitude to Dr. Leo. He deserves his place in history as the best Taoiseach the country has ever had for his handling of the COVID '19 pandemic alone. He granted us leadership when we craved leadership and in doing so commanded unparalleled respect across political lines. In fact you, yourself, took to the internet to preach his word and spread his message, for which I am sure he is truly grateful. Of course, others may rate his skilled negotiation of Brexit as equally significant in that regard.

Dr Leo is a Traitor lowlife .The Irish People in Ulster voted to Remain in the EU but that ridicilous piece of shit done a deal with Boros to evict Irishmen from the EU in the hope that he might gain some sort of election bounce .He is the least successful party leader in the country losing seats in every election he has led the party in .Most Real Irish people see him for the Cunt he really is .When the History of Ireland is written Dr Leo will go down as the worst Politician ever to receive a vote .The damage that cunt has done to this country has yet to be realized .
