Last Payment
« on: November 07, 2021, 02:08:36 pm »
So you run out of PUP on Tuesday with last payment on 16 November but Leo says ...Tánaiste Leo Varadkar said workers should work from home where possible as the Covid-19 numbers continue to soar.

Mr Varadkar said although the government’s position, which saw the majority of workers return to their offices on October 19, had not changed as yet, “the essential message is that people if can work from home they should,” he said..

WHERE ARE THE CUSTOMERS FOR THE DAY MEN .You cant get a hospital appointment and you dont even have to turn up in court you can send your solicitor .

Maybe it depends on what day you signed off?  Their week is Friday to Thurs.  So if you signed off, say, Wed or Thurs, you'd only get paid for that week.  Best days to sign off is Sat or Sun.  You get paid for last week and the next week but you can work 5 or 6 days in that 'next' week while also getting your PUP.

Hope that makes sense  :o

You get the full amount or nothing - there's no part payments.  Also, it might be as simple as your bank was a bit slow to update things and you'll see the money tomorrow...

Quote
Table:
Week 1: Fri, S, S, M, Tu, W, Thurs

Week 2: Fri, S, S, M, Tu, W, Thurs

Week 3: Fri, S, S, M, Tu, W, Thurs

If you're not working week 1, you get paid Tues of week 2.
If you sign off any day in week 2, you should get paid Tues of week 3.

Using the table above, what week and day did you sign off?  That might make things clearer?

I thought that as well Watty its a weekly payment not a daily payment so if you dont fulfill a full week of unemployment you get nothing .

With the PUP, you can sign off halfway through 'their' week and still get the full amount.  That's why signing off on a Sat or Sun is best because you get the full payment for the week as a buffer and you can still work the taxi.

The payment period of COVID-19 Pandemic Unemployment Payment is Friday to Thursday. If you close your claim to return to work and have at least one qualifying day in that period you will receive full payment for that week.

I got paid arrears early last Dec of 853 (without asking), which is 300 + 350 + 203, I have no idea of how this came about ?? And I did not question their wisdom.
