I was the one who posted about those Octys.  One 'trick' that car sellers in general seem to do on the car sites is to quote miles instead of kilometres.  So you might see a car listed with 200,000mi and not realise it's something like 320,000km.  (This includes Irish cars as well as UK imports).

That's why buying a UK car is so much better. Usually has all the paper work, unlike here where you get nothing with the car. I keep all the paperwork off our cars, NCT certs and the advisory sheets, for potential future purchasers

Ebbs still making a few quid on the €199 plate, insurance & radio deal. Seen a letter from Landmark Insurances to Ebbs & Co that each fleet driver was €4k a year or €80 a week. So €119 left for plate and radio.

I see in the latest Mytaxi newsletter they're patting themselves on the back because they've gotten 100 drivers through the exam.And I still haven't won driver of the month.Loadabollix.

How to piss off your current drivers?

They do seem oblivious to what  current drivers think.I bet they're also getting new questions from the failed candidates while paying for exam sittings.This isn't gonna get easier with a multinational company using deep pockets to crack the exam.It won't take them long if they've got a few hundred lads going into test centers regularly.They may already have what they need.

They have NTA and the Unions onside. Waldron reckons cost of entry should be lowered, Heron thinks 20,000 men left the trade for better jobs, TTnH support handing out licences to drug dealers, etc, etc...

Supposed to be going to a traditional Muslim wedding next Saturday. Never been to one before but I'm told there's no gargle and the men and women congregate in separate rooms for the few hours until the marriage takes place. A dry wedding would/will be a very strange experience.
