From what I posted a few posts back, it sounds like you buy the WAV first, get a conditional offer from the NTA, get it kitted out and only then go for the initial suitability to make it an official taxi.
I don't think you can just post in a brochure from the showroom and get a cheque in return!
I have a *very vague* memory from the old site that some ran into bother importing vans from the UK but ran into trouble getting them certifiied by an Irish engineer/mechanic. The Irish engineer wouldn't verify another man's work (or something like that). I could be wrong!
