We don't really know what the "situation" is. The in-app chat/support suggests a highly successful launch despite negative feedback on the toy shop and despite the fact that the passenger app doesn't work on some networks/handsets and despite virtually non-existent technical support and despite the lack of clarity regarding corporate structure and despite the thuggish, dictatorial management style employed to date. If an app can prosper in those circumstances it should inspire rather than discourage alternatives. There's plenty of mistakes there to learn from.

Fair point

Too right I'm all over it. Keeping my eye on dodgy fuckers is a habit of mine.
Anyways, here's a screenshot of the message. Shocking altogether

Thanks VickI doubt it will be around long enough for all the investors to cover 100 jobs to cover their investment .Has anybody gotten any type of share certificate yet ?.Would such certs need to be registered ?How much does it cost to register as a Company shareholder ?Are there any tax liabilities or writeoffs available to shareholders ?

Here is my concern .What does this app offer to passengers that others dont .If it cant beat existing apps why would customers use it ? Without passengers there is no business .

New message from Whistle covers most of these points .Im sure Vicci will find the message and post it for us .

From Whatsapp group

Guys !

5 important updates from Whistle . .

One - we are implementing our the top up system soon.

Two - we are going to ask all drivers to be shareholders who want to be part of this project.

Three - we are going to relaunch to the public with the 500 club.

Four - we will have a relaunch meeting where we will have an accountant to register all shares. This is going to involve extra cost. And the price per share may increase slightly to get this done. It is what many drivers want to see. A company not in anybody’s name. In your name and everyone else who is a shareholder.

Five - we will have a meeting for all drivers who are not happy about Whistle and they can come to ask questions. We will listen and answer all the questions with respect.

What's the 500 club?
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

Whistle should consider sending out a message about those cheap Sumup readers so drivers can take card payments and they can advertise this to passengers .In fact it should be mandatory that Whistle drivers have CC facilities on board .Card payments are one of the big reasons passengers use apps ....Just Saying Like !!!

They could integrate Sumup with their app very easily... there's an API for that.

Another member has done some work on Whistle and come up with some ridiculous posts on Face book by Whistle CEO if you have FB go to Ryanair Sittogeather  page and watch John Boyle rant about Ryanair .No company in the State generates more work for taxi drivers than Ryanair .Almost every job going or coming from Terminal 1@ dublin airport is generated by Ryanair not to mention all the other work we get from visitors brought here by Ryanair .This Whistle app is dead in the water as long as this lad has anything to do with it .He says he wants to be CEO and wants 100K a year to run Whistle .I had considered investing a 50 but  it would make more sense to give matches to a kid living in a straw house .

John Boyle! that's a blast from the past, didn't recognise him in the videos, he was more hirsute (even donned a ponytail) back when he was trying to protect the rights of the shit heap renters (he was a prime mover amongst the MPOs during the unregulated era) then tried to make a mint selling safety kits (that didn't work out too well) his name appearing on the handset was second only in the horror stakes to the Erm, his current war tactics against his competition goes against normal marketing rules but good luck to him with it.

Will they be shareholders in a partnership?  Wonder if they're all jointly liable if they get sued?  At least with a LTD company, it can go bust and the owners walk away owing nothing!

It's registered as a limited company.
