Sweet Sixteen
« on: July 23, 2018, 04:41:17 pm »
Weighed in at 16-13.0 today - first time I've been under 17 stone since I got fat. Dropped 9Lb since the beginning of the month by trying to exercise (mostly 30 mins on the exercise bike but sometimes a swim or a walk instead) daily. Hope to be down to 15 stone by Christmas!

Thank, DM. It was actually your post a couple of months ago about the heart attack victim that rekindled my motivation to lose the excess.

I was about your age when I started piling on the weight. Before that I could eat pretty much anything I wanted with very little exercise!

Well done, but if the focus is primarily on weight loss, as opposed to general fitness, diet is more effective apparently. The arbitrary 80/% diet 20% exercise for weight loss. The exercise builds muscle also.

A 'gentleman' told me one time cider is great for hiding the smell of beer if you've been drinking all night.  He was all in.  He had 2 cans of cider in his coat pockets as I dropped him off to work one morning.  Management job 'n all.  Last I saw of him as I did a U-turn was him taking a piss in the bushes before he went into to work...

Sometimes I think I picked the wrong career path  :2cheers
