The repair part of your expenses must be high because test fees only account for a couple of hundred a year.Anyway when you change you'll see the bills come down.

I do a lot less miles but in 8 months this year I've spent about 150 on test fees and another 50 on service parts because I do me own.Maybe the next NCT will cost much more.

Yes MFH feels like a new 07 Avensis now, must remember to try and avoid the Potholes and go easy over the ramps now.
You wont believe this but when my mechanic took the old shocks off the were an 1.5inches longer than the new ones, he checked with Toyota and was told that some of the Avensis were fitted with longer ones for rougher terrain countries like Turkey etc. Anyway he was able to compress the spring and fit the smaller ones or something like that. New Toyota shock would have been about €130 each so was glad he performed minor surgery to fit them.

Ok that's good to know.As soon as I change the shocks me headlight bulbs will probably go too..

If that's for moi....mine is 2011....it was 4 years old with 58k on the clock when I got it in Feb 2015.
