I thought that too, my arse was a virgin till I was Thirty, but at Thirty I got divertilicus which is a disease of the colon, fer a full Ten years it went undiagnosed, I even got rushed by ambulance to the hospital one night only to be sent home with a few anadin tablets !
When I did eventually get the proper diagnosis, then half of the medical staff of Cork were up me hole on a daily basis !!

DiverticulITIS....itis being the bit which suggests chronic inflammation...no tomatoes or nuts for you so....seeds and nuts verboten....brought own usually by chronic anxiety and yrs of cigarettes.

That's the condition i was diagnosed with during my hospital stay a few years back.....i don't think anxiety or smoking contributed to it....but i still like nuts!!....curries are out..that's for sure,i seem to have it under control somewhat but sometimes takes you by surprise!!

Diverticulosis is the less serious one....when it hits the ITIS bit it's an operation, or medication to reduce the pain if too old to operate. It's rampant nowadays.......keeping away from certain foods is vital as seeds and nuts etc can get trapped in the sacs that form in the bowel leading to all sorts of issues.....some of them are quite apparent if you are a regular visitor to this place.

@ Hal, It is a horrendous painful disease, I had it untreated/undiagnosed fer Ten painful years but major surgery cured it, my advice to you which is prob the same as your auld Granny used to say to you is EAT YOUR GREENS, try to eat some Green veg every day, even if you buy a head of lettuce twice a week and take a bite off it once a day, that will do.

Vegetarians can get it............Celtic disease...........stress and trying to counter-balance life's trials and tribulations............strangely enough more women than men develop it...........keep shitting...never hold it in....

No curries...why, MSG? Anyway, look at poor Brian Kennedy....colon, rectum and prostate removed plus chemo............the food we're eating is pure poison.

Curries seem to....or at least went through me like the Luas...within 10-15 mins of eating one....black bean is fine with chicken,i stay away from the beef.....it's deffo stress related aswell...i can't eat anything before a flight...just drink water....i also hate having to be somewhere at a certain time...more stress...which is why taxi driving suits me i s'pose!!
