To add, having made a will last year of exactly whom gets what of the few quid + bits of what I have left,
and having made my own very simple funeral arrangments makes my mind easy.

Apologies fer being morbid, but if'n ya havent made a will yet, then get about doing it,
costs about a Ton if you know what you want.

WTF a serious Tread on here !     There is a strong link between gum disease and both diabetes and stroke. Here's how:

Gum disease, also known as periodontal disease, is caused by the buildup of plaque on the teeth. If left untreated, gum disease can lead to inflammation and infection of the gums, which can then spread to the surrounding tissues and bone. This can cause teeth to become loose or even fall out.

But the effects of gum disease aren't limited to the mouth. Research has shown that there is a link between gum disease and a number of other health problems, including diabetes and stroke.

Diabetes is a chronic condition that affects the way the body processes blood sugar. When blood sugar levels are high, it can damage blood vessels and lead to inflammation. This can make it harder for the body to fight off infections, including gum disease. In turn, gum disease can make it harder for people with diabetes to control their blood sugar levels, creating a vicious cycle.

As for stroke, studies have shown that people with gum disease are at an increased risk of experiencing a stroke. This may be due to the fact that gum disease can cause inflammation throughout the body, including in the blood vessels that supply the brain. Inflammation can cause these blood vessels to become narrow or even blocked, which can lead to a stroke.

In summary, poor gum health can lead to gum disease, which can in turn contribute to diabetes and stroke through inflammation and damage to blood vessels. Therefore, taking care of your oral health can have a positive impact on your overall health.

I'm due for a dental visit. Very lax during Covid. I'm guessing I'll be paying down a deposit for the Dentist's new yacht.

I was in the chair 3 times last year, I think about 13 fillings all in, cost about €800.
The Kount should have been paying me fer de torture he put me through !!

But at least now I get my ultra-expensive toothpaste with the ultra high fluoride 'Duraphat 5000' (presciption only) from him. €15 a pop fer a small 51g tube which lasts about 2 months compared to a normal 75g toothpaste fer €2 which lasts 3 months. Money well spent if'n it keeps me OUTTA DE FOOKIN CHAIR !!

I have being very slow to post this before because of the amount of idiots on here who just slate anything and everything.

Both myself and a good mate of mine are both in our late Fifties and we both struggle a tad with stairs and walking, Etc. As in you will hear us coming a long time before you see us !

When getting my 4th Covid jab last year my vaccinator (a proper lovely lady) suggested to me Turmeric vitamin tablets fer my joint problems, which I bought in a health store, cost pittance, about a Tenner fer a 3 month supply.

Around about the same time I bought a copper bracelet online fer a Fiver, which today I never take off, (costs €11 in a health store). I'm not sure which one of the above worked, but I passed on all the info to my mate and he did more or less the exact same as I did.
The end results were far from spectacular, but both he and me can now walk with a lot more ease and a lot less creaking and groaning. I'm not sure which of the above worked, but they both cost pittance and I won't be stopping with either of them any time soon.

Ken tumeric will reduce swelling in joints will help a bit .Our real problem is mobility most of us only walk from the bed to the pisser and back to the sofa .A bit of exercise even a two mile walk around the block a day would reduce a lot of our health issues .Lads were advised to get a Doctor only Free Visit card during Covid as their reduced earnings would put them below the earnings limit to qualify .Get blood tests at least once a year .WE pay more to get the car looked after than ourselves .

I got blood tests done after me mishap 2 years ago.
To quote DMG; "A LOAD OF BOLLOX",

Done the blood test thing fer €80 with me GP and was told need some Iron shots,
took the 4 x weekly Iron shots at €60 a pop in the GP's surgery, NO FOOKIN DIFFERENCE !

Add in the A&E care fer a Ton, prescription pain-killers and tabs fer another few quid,
and all in it cost me a Fookin Monkee to have a Fookin Mishap !

@Belker - I put tumeric in my omelettes and you should change doctor!

Pre-pandemic, I had ignored my doctor for 10 years or more but eventually I was forced to visit him.  It was €60 for the visit and there was a load of things wrong with me.  The blood test cost nothing if memory serves.  I had to go back to him for vitamin B12 injections and I can't remember how much but I wasn't charged full whack for each visit.

I think this 'Doctor visit' happens to all men around 50, unless they're health freaks.  Your past living catches up with you.  You go in with something small like a sore toe and bang! you're near deaths door unless you change your habits.  I suspect the majority of men get put on blood pressure tablets as well around this age as well.  Modern medicine has a pill for everything...
Getting old is compulsory whilst growing up is voluntary.

I've to do blood tests every 3 months now. My potassium levels are high so the doc tells me. That and gout. Could be a kidney thing he thinks. Up until a couple of years ago I hadn't seen a doctor in years. It all goes wrong in your 50's it seems.
