does the fancy brake recharging set up actually pull the car to a stop rather than traditional brake friction.
when i was fondlin her at the dealer i noticed there was'nt the slightest hint of a lip on any of the discs. perfectly smooth.

I found when I switched to the prius that I've to bring the car to a complete stop kinda differently.  With the avensis (manuel) I could judge it fairly well to let it roll to a complete stop. However, with the prius because its automatic and is always in D when it's in motion, it won't roll to a complete stop as the car is in D it'll keep moving forward.  So you've to have your foot on the brake constantly when stopping.  If you do it wrong it will jerk to a stop. It took a while but I have it sussed to come to a complete stop without any jerking. These yolks will even roll uphill when in D.

Its the Driver side you could look like a motorbike to oncomming traffic if they overtake in to your path they could make you dead or you jump into a ditch.
Many drivers, particularly in the rental sector will drive with one headlight blown, supplemented by their foglights.

Others leave their foglights on probably because they themselves are dim.

Toyota got this age old idea right 25 yers ago I tink it was wit the prius ...and subsequently they applied the  engineering  to  ther other models ...
...I love the brilliance of ther engineering ........tho I find it uncomfortable as regards head room ....Toyota hybrids are the dogs bollix

Been looking at 221 Corolla hybrids,a Touring would be preferable but the boot space in the saloon seems decent enough.

€33500 for the new Corolla estate and may go up again after the budget. You'lI need to put a deposit on soon to secure one for Q1 2023. I'm gonna probably put a deposit on this week.Havent figured out where the rest of the money is coming from yet.

All you lads talking about cheap second-hand motors feel free to stick up some links...

Only 1500 Octy. They have drivers coming in everyday and they know there are 4500 of us upgrading in the next year.

1500 is all it's worth.Perhaps 2000 if I'm lucky selling it privately.

If I do go Corolla, the missus wants to keep the Prius and get rid of her 07 Focus, every time I fix something on the Focus it seems mad not to get the monies worth out of it...but the Prius, even though it has nearly 410k on it is much more fuel efficient and reliable,it does need front suspension struts but that's about it...until an NCT says otherwise.
