FFS, Ya got me thinking now !

I was dead set on a new 2027 Corolla, which I don't really like but at about 35 large by then it was affordable.
The Camry at 45 would mean to do a tad more work the next few years which would hardly kill me.
Food fer Thought ! Thanks Harry.

I think the Camry has privacy glass that won't pass suitability and will need changing?

Belker speak to your accountant but you could probably claim the accelerated capital allowances on the Avensis if you haven't already then trade up to a Camry and not be massively out of pocket over the course of the next few years.I'm only saying it because you work hard.

Those newer Camrys are getting 50mpg which is probably alot more than the diesel. No more DPFs or turbos.

Could you explain that a little bit more MFH (as in detail), as I'm ultra thick on tax things.

Eh I'm no expert Belker...RC is ..
I believe you can write off the full cost of the Avensis over a shorter timeframe if you wanted to against your tax liabilities.

So if you paid 21k for example on the Avensis you could write off the cost of the car over three years rather than 7 years  or whatever ammount of time your keeping it.Buy the Camry if you have the funds then start the tax write off again claiming the allowances off your tax bill.

You may have already done this through your accountant so I'm just throwing the idea at you. Most of us are paying more taxes as things have picked up so could be worth looking into before you throw money at the DPF again.

Because I don't work too hard it pays off for me to keep my heap as long as possible. For you it might not be the same.

Yes rear fly and main windows below 70% visibility so mains had to be changed, windows €280, fitting €120. Passed suitability ok.
